Institute releases 2012 Kinder Houston Area Survey

America's most automobile-dependent large city may be heading into a new era, according to the 31st annual Kinder Houston Area Survey. The findings were released April 24 at a luncheon hosted by the Greater Houston Partnership and the Kinder Institute. Click here to read more from this year’s survey about the remarkable economic and demographic transformations of the Houston area.

Joint study shows Houston more diverse

A new report compiled by the Kinder Institute for Urban Research and the Hobby Center for the Study of Texas shows that while the Houston region’s population continues to grow more ethnically diverse there were only small declines in segregation between racial and ethnic groups in the past 20 years.
